I bought at 146 and sold (in violation of the SA rule) at 196 (cost me about 10K). Keep the bar high to weed out the "something for nothing" crowd. Your methonds are ingenious. What I need is patience. The most impressive pick was USWC. You gave this company when it was traded at 4-5 range. I jumped in at the moment. I paid 5 1/8. Next day, I cut loss sold at 4 3/8 with a few thousands lost. But after a while, I did a little bit research about this company and I was getting like this company. One important factor is that the insider was buying their shares. Ok, so I reentered USWC in November 4. I bought 5000 shares. My cost is around 5 dollars. It was a BIG thanksgiving gift as I sold my all shares following Thanksgiving at 22. I made 85,000. I am so happy. I'd like to thank you. How many picks Joe made run up huge in a short time? The ONLY reason my account balance isn't higher is because I have not done the stop loss properly in the past (ZANY, SSPE, PFSW, etc.) I am a believer, especially from reading all the other email from SA members making the same mistakes, but learning. Bought the shares the 'smucks' sold early, and as usual, the short term growth outweighed the risk. When DD kicked in, I sold and rebought at a lower price. Bottom line up huge %. I hope that all are getting your message on DD and reacting with diligence, although I appreciate the buys I was able to get during their untimly sell offs on your picks. In the beginning I was a little concerned, things worked out great for the first week or so, then it turned around. However, as I am a greedy fearfull schumuck, I listened to your advices and held tight. Drank about 10 bootles of maalox for my stomach. I am very happy to tell you that in the end everything turned out great, I am up 45K since joining, a 65% return in about a month, being 10K today on RMKR and INTM, wanted to play PERL but was out of cash, who said life was fair??? Funny thing, some of your picks take while to come true, but after a month, I learned that patience pays, in a handsome way. Please let me know when SATT will be up and running, using Prudential Securities and E-TURD, they are very lousy, too slow, no short availability and unreliable for fast moving stocks, the kind you can make a killing or get killed. I would also like to ask for some quick advise. I own ELNK and MSPG since they were at 45 and 27, respectively. They seem not able to break through 60 and 35, respectlively. Should I take profits now or wait. Apparently, the rally of the NASDAQ is almost over. Although some stocks continue to rally, profit taking in the vast majority of them has already started. I'm not always sure about things either, but learned quickly the incredible value of the SA website. Besides that, I'd rather figure it out than demonstrate my idiocy by typing a question and risk you publicly calling me a f ng schmuck... I do have my pride, you know. ggg I was also suprised/frustrated with a few inane questions you had to field at the seminar... I was able to say hello to you (in the lunch line where I told you I couldn't stay for the afternoon session) and even though I missed the afternoon charting & L2 presentations, feel my trip was worthwhile because I was able to see and hear you think on your feet. My level of confidence in you was already high, but I think because as a psychologist, I make my best judgments about people by being around them, I needed to experience you in vivo. You have an unique and winning mix of bravado, humility, and enthusiasm! Please keep scolding, coaching, nurturing, and briefly banning us as the need arises. You are onto something big here, not merely financial, but potentially paradigm-shifting. Your vision of a grass roots group of regular folks becoming a market force may be closer to reality than we know. Date: 12/3/99 2:10:03 PM Eastern Standard Time TJ, I just wanted to write to you after everything that has happened to me in the last few days with your calls. I wanted to tell you my story and what has led me to this point. I have told this story in the chat channel for those who remember but I thought all the newbies might benefit! I started, what I thought was, trading in April of this year. Up until then I did not know what bid, ask, short or, most importantly, what a stop loss was. I was coaxed into trading by my brother, who said he had the tip of the century in stocks for me. All I had to do was open an account and he would give me the tip. I opened an account with Datek and waited for the stock. A matter of fact it was 2 stocks that coming out, IPO's. The first came out in May, and I was told to buy at 60. That stock was TSCM. The other a few days later BNBN at 25. Needless to say you all know where they went after that and the $10,000.00 I started with became $900.00. It became the SHOCK of the century! In June, pondering what to do next, I was watching CNBC to try and learn something so I could get my money back, and I heard TokyoJoe mentioned on the air that he was responsible for running up a stock. It caught my curiosity and I found his website. In July I joined as a regular member and as ditsy as I sound read three of the books listed. I poked a few current alerts and made a few dollars. Then going through the website more thoroughly I saw that he had an IRC channel so the first week of Sept. I joined. The first week on the chat channel, I took my $900.00 or so and I made back $8,000.00, mostly from a stock called CMRC & ENGA! Yes I had a few learning setbacks in Oct. with a few stocks ZANY, PDYN & PVSW, but I did not despair. I became smarter and more experienced and I overcame. This leads me to this past week of trades. Having chosen winners like CNRS from 7, PFSW from 41, CLRS from 44, PLUS from 17, PUMA from 42, RMKR from 11 3/8 I am up $29,000.00 in 2 1/2 months. To me that is phenominal! The learning experience in the chat channel is unmatched. I may talk alot but I always try to listen and learn from you as well as other SA members who are willing to help me. And I have learned that the more you curse, spit, yell, piss at us the more you like us and enjoy teaching us. Date: 12/2/99 1:02:21 AM Eastern Standard Time Dear Joe, But I had to write and tell you how much I enjoy the membership. I learned about you on some bulletin boards and what I read went from one extreme to the other. Some were shouting "Tokyo Joe is a con artist getting rich off small investors with his pump and dump scam" others were saying you were "God" I figured like most things that the truth was somewhere in the middle. People tend to believe whatever they hear without checking it out and then they parrot it to others with no consideration for the truth. So I took a chance and joined SA to judge for myself. Here is the conclusion I came to. (big deal right ggg) First let me say that this was one of the best decisions I have ever made concerning my investing life! Here is what I discovered: At the beginning It took awhile to understand your e-mails and comments in the chat room, First I thought it was some kind of secret code that I had to learn, until I realized you just think faster than you type. It's almost like trying to learn another language! I thought ROFLMAO might mean either "buy" or "sell" the first time I logged on until I read the explanations of the acronyms on the website. but it's getting a lot easier everyday! A couple of times I went to look at a chart of a stock you mentioned only to get a "No such symbol in database." Then someone usually asked what symbol you meant to type and you retyped it. A fair percentage of the calls you make are on stocks that have large floats and aren't really susceptible to manipulation by your alerts. And more often than not the stock moves in the direction you stated because you have taken the time to study it's force and intercept it's move. People constantly ask the same questions like "Whats the target" as soon as the alert is given and are ready to push the sell button on the first small down move on a long term pick (Like RMKR). I may be wrong but doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of the long term calls? On the momentum plays you clearly state in various ways " You decide when to get in or out, I have given you the ticket, take a ride if you want or don't jump in if your not comfortable, you need to make your own decisions on these calls like an adult" I cannot believe that anybody playing the alerts would expect you to ride a stock down as it tanked just because they don't stick with reasonable stops. (I confess though that I did that with ZANY.. LOL.) In closing I just want to thank you for your research. I noticed that I get e-mails day and night, and I have an idea that you put 25 hours of work in a 24 hour day. Unfortunately as much as you say for us members to do "Due Diligence" I think many of us want you to do all the heavy lifting and we just reap the benefits of your labor. You constantly tell us to check out the calls ourselves with DD because we will be rewarded with high percentage returns if we study the charts and research the stocks. That reminds me of another person who said the same thing and your in good company! "He who has a lazy hand becomes poor, But the hand of the DILIGENT makes rich! 11/30/99 11:44:13 PM Eastern Standard Time Joe, I bought a stock at 4 1/2 last september. I averaged down to 2 3/4 then joined SA. I ended up with 6000 shares till I ran out of money. The stock went to 2. I em'd you when I first joined. i asked you about that stock and you told me "use sa rules", "use your judgement", and "look at the chart". I did and em'd you back that I thought the stock still looked good. I sold it all at 2 3/4 and at a sizeable loss finally after reading the whole website, especially the parts about stop loss. That stock was VONE, and you know what it did today. That 6000 shares would have gone from 16,500 to 96,000 today. I should be pissed. Truth is, I turned the 16,500 into 175,000 by getting out and playing sa picks. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Thanks

Date: Sun, 21 Nov 1999 02:51:19 -0800 I just spent several hours going over your emails over the last couple months. (I saved about 95% of them--over 1000!) I pulled up a two month chart on all your picks and couldn't believe the results. I didn't write down exact stats, but I would conservatively estimate that about 75% made impressive to phenomenal runs at some point, another 15% went nowhere and the other 10% were losers (which would have been stopped out if proper exits were observed.) If anyone questions your results, and they have also saved emails, I would encourage them to do the same as I did. (It also helped me to understand your selection method.) Another thing I noticed was that the stocks that you sent several emails on were typically the ones that moved the most. (ZANY seems to be the lone exception.) Some people would say that these stocks moved because you manipulated them with your recommendations, but no one, no matter how influential, can manipulate individual stocks over a period of months. It just doesn't happen. Unfortunately, I missed out on most of those moves, and only profited on about $1,000 from a couple picks. Time to start trading 100-share lots. Thanks again! Mark T

I already owned some at 79 and tried to buy more at 73, but my brokerage account was overloaded and could not process it in time. (wish I had had level2). Also your instintive pick of CLRS was one of the best I have seen. I wasn't as convinced of your abilities when I first came to the service....but I am slowly learning to listen....and trust. Trust was the hard part...but I also realized it was my responsibilty to manage the trades after purchase. I immediately signed up with Executioner & loved the lightning fast executions (by the way can't wait for SA trading tool). I was super conservative when I first quit my fathers 25 year old business - tough to do! I knew I could make more money following SA, so I did it (I quit). Well, to make a long story short for the first 7 weeks I was questioning myself for doing what I did (quitting). I was down 7.4% over all, I found out quickly that I was being to conservative! Now I learned to go for it! Well, - 7 weeks being down 7.4%...now just 19 weeks later, I've got this figured out! I'm currently up 74.3%!!!! I'm so damn happy...that's not including this week - JNIC was a super winner today, but I'm still holding majority of the shares! I bought my first shares of JNIC at 86 1/2...bought another 100 at 81 1/2 & finally the last lot at 73 this morning, I listened to your every move & now I'm up & feel so good about what I did! Normally I would have stopped out & been kicking myself when I saw it start to go without me! So, I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!! I've learned a lot! I learned to paper trade after quitting your job...even after you have traded before, take a break & never jump right into it! Oh, I have been up for 11 weeks in a row! Then I went on vacation to Florida & ended up not being able to concentrate as well as I normally do & that killed that streak! The most important lesson I learned is how to be disciplined and not be greedy. Greed is probably the worst enemy of all day traders. I usually set a target on how much I want to make on a day or a week and will try to stick with it. Once my target is met I will exit that position and will not look back. Sure those stocks I sold may still go higher, like many of the calls you made, like cmcr, isld, hsac, bvsn, etc.., but there are so many other great companies / stocks available. I learned not to chase and not to blame myself for letting go of a stocks too soon. I believe "watching" you in the chat room and learning the way you trade are indeed a good lessons for all of us newbies. Thanks again. I started out in Feb. with 2000, Currently my portfolio is worth 300,000!!! yes largely due to CRDS, I made a killing with a 100,000 gain in 2 days. I have been trading for three years and I would consider myself an excellent trader. I an self-taught, which means that I lost money the first 18 months...lol . The good news is that I have gone from $27,000 in Oct 1998 to over $1,000,000 ytd. I credit your stock picks for $400,000 of this gain in the last two months....as the DOW fell over 1,000 points.LOL I made money on BRNC LOOK ENGA GBLX ZANY IMAA. My three biggest winners though are CMRC IWOV and VIGN. These three picks alone have made me over $300,000. The disapl and dd that you speak of so often has also helped me be a better trader....I now cut my losses at 3 to 5% ( capital preservation) and I take the time to research every pick before I buy, these two things have made a big difference in my trading profits. Haven't been able to trade for the last 3 months but paid for your services anyway. Never knew when I would be able to get on line and trade and wanted to be ready. Finally got some time off and logged on and made some money. Surprising to me in this market. I am a retired police officer and have to supplement my income, I am trying to do it by trading. I made 1100.00 Friday and am up 1250.00 for today (haven't sold yet) so anything can happen. All I need is about 1000.00 a month extra income and I can truly retire. I truly beleive that with your advise I can do this but I don't have the confidence in myself yet so I must wait . I beleive I will get better and I have since I first joined. I don't care to become rich, I just want to make it on my own (at home trading). I've read every book you posted (twice). So I am a learned person, I just need the experience. And when you start trading you learn real quick what those books are really talking about. I advise anyone that is interested in trading to read first, IT WILL save you money. This is too long already, so thanks Joe. I just hope you stay around awhile. I need more time before I can go it alone, if I ever decide to do that.

I have seen you say in the chat room that the Hedge Fund will be how you make a ligitimate name for yourself and leave something for your kids. In my opinion you have already done that. But I wish you continued success with everything you venture into. I have been a SA member for about 3 months. And was recently down significantly do to stupidity. I've read all the info on the web site (several times), read a number of the recommended books, and spend lots of time doing DD. Then I went right ahead and did the opposite of what I learned. I knew what I was doing wrong but had no discipline to fix it. Three weeks ago my starting capital had dwindled by 65%. Then I started reading the recovery plans on the web site on a regular basis and found some discipline to use stop losses and trade smart. I also gave up on becoming a millionare overnight. Now, three weeks later I have my starting capital back (which works out to about a 300% percent gain in 3 weeks). What took me 4 months to lose, I got back in 3 weeks. Again, I have to thank you, without all the education from you and the members of SA I would probably be done trading for a long time. Now, I feel like I'm just get started and the sky is the limit. I do a lot of research and DD work and I know how much time this takes to find the real gems amongst all the stocks that there are. I also know that actually finding this stuff requires a lot more than just a search engine. You have to filter a lot of crap to sort out the stuff that is worthwhile. You also have to know where to look, make phone calls to IR department and do a lot of reading between the lines. My hat's off to you TJ, to you and your staff, for sleuthing out this information and getting it out to your members in such a timely fashion. This is more proof (to me) that you are not the "P&D man" that people say you are. This is the crap that is being spread in the message threads and certain other chat rooms. I think they are just scared or envious of SA and the TJ Man.... These continual and informative em's from SA are proof that you perform the research and the DD, you trade your picks, and you walk your talk. Date: Wed, 13 Oct 1999 18:02:30 -0400 TJ - I sent you an email thanking you after my first day with SA ($8,250 gain) a week ago...After 5 more trading days with 2 heavy down days in the Dow and Nasdaq, what can I say that would indicate my appreciation for your stock analysis and recommendations...The last 5 days have provided me gains of $3500, $6250, $28000, $7700 and $6875...Over $60000 in 6 days!!! The best part is I am still holding a piece of ZANY and GDEN with some nice gains going into tomorrow...My prayer is that you don't retire anytime soon... brkout

I joined your club, studied the home page, paper traded, absorbed your warnings, memorized the rules and perform my dd. I also appreciate the added insight in many of the emails. I am a business consultant/accountant and I know how important instinct & experience is for clients to absorb. I pay particular attention to absorbing your instinct and style. So far, ( six months) I am averaging 110% annual return. Only reason the return is not higher is because I am stubborn at positioning stop loss. I am very pleased with the experience i am having with the society. Your calls are timely, and your expertise is very evident. I was especially fortunate that you were soo persistant about buying global crossing. Your attention to detail, insightful understanding of their business sector, and willingness to put your neck on the line, pushed me to take some large positions in gblx. I don't want to seem to brag, but i am proud of the following. i bought 7kshares average price of 24 3/4, of which i still hold the majority of them. I bought a 40 lot of the october 25 call options at 5/8 and sold them shortly thereafter for 5$, and i bought frontier stock before global crossing closed the acquisition with them for a 10k profit. all told, a profit of about 60k, plus some given some scalping. I clearly would not have stayed with this, save your constant table pounding . thank you for your time and patience.

other day. Got in @ 25 1/4 and sold today @ 32 1/8. Made about 2.5k.
Not alot but every bit helps to recover from my mistakes before
SA. Also, thanks for CLIC. Did some major scalping on it and made
another 1k on it. That is 3.5k in less than a week. Thanks alot!

Before your help I was slowly pissing away about 10,000, but since I've been with you for about two months I'm almost back even and with a bunch of gblx in hand it looks pretty good to keep going.

Thank you so much for sharing your stock research and trading recommendations... Although I did not chat today, it was great to have your ongoing comments and recommendations in real-time...Do I think this investment was worth it??? With my MBA in one hand and my HP-12C calculator in the other ($8,250/$200 = 41.25 months), I can now use your outstanding services for 41 months with a cost of $200...Now that is what I call ROI...
